20 Question is one of the funniest ESL conversation activities for adults and kids. It’s a “yes or no” game that works best with a small group of about 2-5 players and is great to play with English beginners. One person from the group has to choose any person, place, or thing that can be guessed by other players.
Once the person makes their choice, the guessing begins. To figure out what the right answer is, the other players ask questions that can only be answered with “yes” or “no.” The number of questions is limited to twenty. If a player correctly guesses the object, they choose a word for the next round of the game.
